1. Acceptance of terms
By creating an account or using New Age ID, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the service. We may update these terms from time to time; continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.
2. What New Age ID is
New Age ID verifies your identity and issues verifiable credentials that you hold and present. It is a tool that helps you prove who you are; it is not a government-issued identity document, and it does not guarantee that any third party will accept a credential. Acceptance is always at the relying party’s discretion.
3. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to use New Age ID. By using the service you confirm that you are 18 or over and that the identity information you provide relates to you.
4. Your account and security
You are responsible for keeping your device and account secure, including any biometric unlock you enable. Your verified identity is sensitive — do not share access with anyone else. Tell us promptly if you believe your account or device has been compromised.
5. Identity verification
You agree to provide genuine, lawful identity documents and to complete verification truthfully. Submitting forged, altered, or another person’s documents, or attempting to impersonate someone, is strictly prohibited and may be reported to the relevant authorities. Verification is provided through trusted identity-verification providers acting on our behalf.
6. Verifiable credentials
When you are verified, we issue a cryptographically signed credential to you. You decide when and to whom to present it. You are responsible for keeping your device secure so others cannot present your credentials. We may suspend or revoke a credential where it was obtained fraudulently, where required by law, or where necessary to protect the integrity of the service.
7. Acceptable use
Do not use New Age ID to break the law, to defraud others, to interfere with or attempt to compromise the service, or to access another person’s account or data. We may restrict or remove access where these terms are breached.
8. Payments
Some features may require a paid plan. Where they do, payments are processed by Stripe, and any applicable fees and billing terms will be shown to you before you purchase.
9. Suspension and termination
You may delete your account at any time from within the app; doing so removes your personal data from our systems except where we are legally required to retain it. We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these terms or to protect the security of the service.
10. Disclaimers
The service is provided “as is”. While we work to make verification accurate and reliable, we do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that any third party will accept your credentials. New Age ID does not provide legal advice.
11. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, New Age ID is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for losses arising from your failure to keep your device or account secure, or from a third party’s decision to accept or reject a credential. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute, unless mandatory local law provides otherwise.
